The BYD 2021 e2 adopts a hatchback design, which is consistent with the upgraded version of the e2 launched last year. The dimensions of the new car have not changed, still at 4240/1760/1530 millimeters, with a wheelbase of 2610 millimeters. The interior of the car also continues the design of the e2 upgraded version, including the continued provision of honey brown and black color combinations. The new car will be equipped with a 10.1-inch rotatable central control screen as standard across the entire range, and is equipped with a DiLink intelligent ecosystem, which can also support OTA remote upgrades. In addition, in order to add some sportiness to the interior, the new car has also added some carbon fiber material patches as decorations in the details.
As for power, the new car will be equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 70 kW and a peak torque of 180 Nm, with an acceleration time of 3.9 seconds from 0 to 50 km/h. The biggest change of the new car this time is to equip the entire series with lithium iron phosphate blade batteries, and the NEDC comprehensive operating range is 401 kilometers.
