Product Description

According to the national standard GBT 20234.3-2015 Electric Vehicle Conductive Charging Connection Device, there are currently two commonly used voltage standards for DC charging stations in China, which are 500V voltage and 750V voltage standards.
The Tang EV is compatible with the two different voltage standards of charging stations mentioned above, while most electric vehicles only support 500V. More awesome, Tang EV is faster than other electric vehicles when charging on the 500V charging pile.
Charging on a 500V voltage charging station, the Tang EV can use up to 500V voltage, while other electric vehicles can only use 350V of the 500V voltage. In this way, the charging speed of the Tang EV can reach 60kW, which is 42% faster than other electric vehicles.
On the 750V charging station, the Tang EV can charge normally, while other electric vehicles generally cannot charge normally. This type of high-voltage charging station is generally deployed on important transportation arteries such as urban ring roads or highways, making it easy to quickly replenish electricity during long-distance travel.
In order to test the strongest charging capacity of Tang EV, this high-voltage charging station was found next to the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing for testing. The high-voltage charging station has a voltage output capacity of 750V, a current output capacity of 250A, and a total output power of 120kW, which is twice that of a 500V charging station.
The Tang EV can reach a charging speed of 90kW by charging on a high-voltage charging station. Charging from 30% to 80% only takes less than 30 minutes, corresponding to an increase of 250 kilometers in range.
In DC fast charging, Tang EV is not just about charging extremely fast. After reaching 80% of the battery level, other electric vehicles begin to enter a trickle charging state, and the charging speed will significantly decrease. And Tang EV will not experience this situation, even when the battery capacity is 95%, the charging speed is still 36.7 kW. Therefore, consumers are not anxious about the last 10% charging time when charging.
With its powerful comprehensive charging speed advantage, the Tang EV's DC fast charging speed is rare compared to its competitors. From 0% to 100% of the entire charging cycle time, the Tang EV only needs about 1.1 hours.
Although the most advanced electric vehicles abroad have undergone multiple OTA upgrades during charging tests, their batteries still take more than 1.3 hours from scratch to full charge. This results in the owner of the vehicle not choosing to fully charge each time, but rather charging to 90% and ending the charging process. An electric vehicle with a range of 550 kilometers can only be used as a 495 kilometer electric vehicle.
Communication charging, as it is mostly conducted in fixed places such as home and work, requires additional consideration of charging safety in addition to the two mandatory standards of charging speed and compatibility.
In terms of compatibility, we have tested the in car AC charging device on the Tang EV. After charging tests on more than ten AC charging stations from multiple brands and different operators, the Tang EV has high compatibility and can be charged normally.
Since 2017, it has been no exception for electric vehicles to catch fire while charging, almost entering a state of weekly burning. A certain foreign brand may even self after charging is completed. In April of this year, the brand's electric vehicle self and burned down the entire basement in a residential area in Shanghai, causing huge losses. In the subsequent claims process, car companies repeatedly argue, resulting in consumers facing huge compensation.
The owners of Tang EV have no such concerns at all. According to official information, BYD's models have not experienced any self ignition problems caused by charging. Having this confidence is mainly due to being very comprehensive in technical protection.
